Dr. Vijayadeva is an epidemiologist with her interest focused on chronic and infectious diseases. She has functioned as Co-Investigator on several multisite research projects. She worked on the Chronic Hepatitis B and C Cohort Study (CHeCS) and Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) project in collaboration with CDC which involved validating and building a hepatitis registry and vaccine tables. 

She has experience working with electronic medical records (EPIC) and the virtual data warehouse (VDW) at the Center for Integrated Health Care Research (CIHR). She has worked extensively evaluating and analyzing adolescent nutrition data at the Human Nutrition Department at the University of Hawaii. While at the Cancer Center of Hawaii she worked on the Multiethnic Cohort study analyzing data.  

After receiving her bachelor’s in medicine (India), Dr. Vijayadeva worked as a physician and gained experience in intensive care units. She has a M.S. and Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
